Hello!

I have been extremely busy over the past 6 months with writing, recording etc. Some very cool things coming your way very soon!

For now…I have featured on a dance track by Hellsinki Dub called ‘Fusion Confusion’. The track was produced by the fabulous Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran/Paloma Faith/One Direction/you name it – he’s done it!) and is sounding phat!

We shot an awesome video a couple of weeks back with Big Head Media, working with the lovely Martin J Pickering was ace. What a sweetie : )

There is a taster video on Youtube and the track is already being played in the clubs which is fab.

The launch party will be on Tuesday 12th June at a secret London location from 7pm-1am. Everyone is welcome! Tickets are £10 in advance and can be purchased here!

Hope everyone enjoys the track and can’t wait to see the video in full!

Albury Festival is still on!

Despite the awful weather, Albury Festival is still going ahead tomorrow. The stage will be moved inside a large marquee so we can party undercover! The advice is to still bring chairs/gazebos as planned as they will open up the sides of the marquee so we can overspill to outside if necessary.

I am on stage at 2.30pm! Look forward to seeing you there : )

Hello!

Really looking forward to Albury Free Festival this Sunday 17th July at Albury Cricket Ground in Surrey! It was such a fantastic day last year and the year before as well! Really not one to be missed for any local peeps!

I am on stage at 2.30pm performing a half hour set with my full band. After that, I will be relaxing with a burger and watching the rest of the acts! There are some fantastic artists lined up for this day…the amazing Steve Rodgers who I am a massive fan of will be performing as well as my lovely sister and the MIB band are headlining the event. I will be dancing like a loony as usual – surely that alone is worth coming down for!!?

Look forward to seeing people there and hope you enjoy the show!

I know I have posted this all over Facebook and Twitter but just wanted to say thank you too all those who tried to come down to Thursdays gig, and thanks to those who made it! Traffic was a nightmare! My band nearly didn’t make it!

It was a fantastic gig and I really enjoyed every aspect of it. Stonefield who played after us were absolutely amazing and you should definitely check out if you haven’t done so already!

I will update you all very soon and the plans are in motion for the EP release and launch party in September.

Hope to see some of you at Albury Free Festival on 17th July, I am on stage at 2.30pm!

Much love,

Hello! So I can finally tell you what I was up to on Friday 29th April! I know I let it slip a few times but I was supposed to keep it quiet until the big day! I would have blogged sooner but unfortunately I have been disgustingly ill since then. The backlash of the excitement from the biggest gig of my life!!

On Friday 29th April 2011, I performed at The Royal Wedding celebrations in Hyde Park in front of 300,000 people!!!!!!! I performed with the top covers band in the country MIB which is run by my very talented and successful sister, Sera Golding. It was such a fantastic day and the crowd were absolutely amazing! There is so much footage on YouTube of people singing along and dancing, it was a wonderful atmosphere. I have never performed to such a large audience before, in fact not many have – it was the second biggest gig ever in the UK apparently. There was this one moment when I said “people at the back, let me see your hands up!” and this sea of hands went up…I literally welled up and had to turn away….it was amazing!

MIB are a fantastic band and I love performing with them! We had a 10 piece line up which featured 4 vocalists , an amazing saxophonist Lindsay Goodhand and an equally amazing trumpet player Vicky Flint.  We performed two 40 minute sets after the fly over (which was spectacular!!!) featuring songs such as Greatest Day by Take That, Forget You by Cee-lo Green and Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams, as well as many more! In fact, one of the songs we performed “Give It Up” by KC and The Sunshine Band created the biggest conga lines I have ever seen! There was one down the front which apparently had 120 people in it however watching the video footage there were loads at the back of the crowd too.

At the beginning of the show we performed a short medley of first dance choices for the crowd to choose from. They chose “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith so that was our first song. It was epic with everyone singing along!

A lot of people have asked me about my outfit for the day! (very nice of you!)  I wore a blue dress from Miss Selfridge which only cost £45! I had given myself a budget of £200 as it was a special occasion however I couldn’t find anything in the smarter designs.

My shoes were the most beautiful shoes I have ever seen which I got from Next. Unfortunately I got them muddy walking to the stage but I’m sure they will clean up.

My fascinator was from Debenhams.  This was one of the requests from the client, that our outfits had a wedding vibe, I loved it!

I had my hair and makeup done at 6am that morning in my hotel room which was very exciting!

So the day was absolutely, mindblowingly exciting! It is a day I will never forget and I will continue talking about till I am old and grey! Check out our video blog which featured the lead up to the day as well as live footage from the day! http://youtu.be/Ejud06ZgA0I

I was also honored to take part in co-writing and singing on MIB’s Royal Wedding single ‘On This Day’ which is out NOW on Itunes! Check it out!
Exciting stuff! : ) xx

Hello!

I am holidaying it up in Phuket, Thailand for the next two weeks! Absolutely loving it but still finding time to keep up with everything going on back home.

‘One In A Million’ is out NOW on Itunes! Buy Buy Buy!

For those of you that missed my last blog, ‘One In A Million’ is a single written by Kirsti Robinson and Adam Ferguson to raise money for the Japan Tsunami Appeal.  Kirsti has pulled together a list of female artists through the power of facebook to combine their vocal talents to raise money for Japan and the single is NOW available on Itunes!

Please do help us help Japan by downloading the single which is just 79p and also spreading the word. Every little helps and your 79p will make a difference : )

A couple of days a go, in my stay in Phuket, I visited Patong which was hit by the 2004 Thailand Tsunami. It is amazing how the town has rebuilt itself during the past 7 years however there are still signs and fears of the Tsunami.

Help us, help Japan!

Thanks to all those who came down to the Tsunami Fundraiser event I recently played at. What a fantastic night and I am so glad we raised over £500. If you were at the event and havent checked it out already, you can see results for the raffle on the Facebook Group or search Red Cross Fundraisers Brighton.

Thank you for your continued support and hope to see you at a gig soon! I am hoping to get the ‘One In A Million’ girls down to perform with my at my acoustic gig at The Regal Rooms on Thursday 21st April however its all ‘in talks’ at the mo so watch this space.

One in a Million- charity single for Japan relief

One in a Million is the charity single written by singer/songwriter Kirsti Robinson and Adam Ferguson. The singer from Kent has pulled together a list of female artists through the powers of facebook & social networking  to combine their vocal talents to raise money for Japan Relief.

“I had been watching the news over a couple of days and every day I woke up and the devastation had just got worse and worse. I couldn’t bare to sit by and do nothing when I knew that there was a possibility I could raise some money with music! So on the Sunday night I contacted a few fantastic vocalists to see who I could get involved and by the Tuesday I’d written and recorded the track with my producer Adam Ferguson and then we were on our way.

I hope that by getting together a number of amazing vocalists and a good song, we can aim to make even a small dent in the huge amount of money that it is going to take to rebuild some of the people’s lives that have been affected.” -Kirsti Robinson

http://www.kirsti-robinson.com/

The song titled ‘One in a Million’ will be available from all downloadable stores and features the following artists:

Kirsti Robinson, Julia M.Broderick, Tiger Lilly, Rachel Golding, Beccy May, Lisa Avon (from the band Orestea) Jemma Pixie Hixon & Corinne Burns “

“I was really pleased when Kirsti asked me to be a part of this. My bands fans in Japan have overwhelmed me with their support ever since our album release at the start of 2011. To see and hear about what is going on over there right now is absolutely heartbreaking. This project felt like the perfect oppertunity for me to help out through music.”-

 Lisa Avon- www.orestea.com

I am so pleased that I am able take part in this charity single to raise money for Japan. I have many supporters in Japan, some of which were affected by the Earthquake, and I was so deeply saddened to wake up to the tragic news. To see so many female artists from YouTube pull together for this single is really quite special. We all love music, and if we can help even in the slightest by making this song it would be truly amazing. My thoughts go out to all that have been affected by the tragic event. – Jemma Pixie Hixon

“ To be a part of this single and to know that we can make a small difference is a great feeling. When people pull together you really can achieve something special. My thoughts and prayers are with those effected in Japan and the surrounding areas.

This single is our effort to unite and show our support’ -Tiger Lilly

I was thrilled and honored when Kirsti asked me to be one of the female vocalists for the Japan relief charity single. I feel like it’s the least I can do to help. It’s amazing to see people come together like this and it reminds us about how we are all connected no matter who we are and where we come from.

I have always wanted to help others somehow and what can be better than doing my small part and helping those in need through the gift of music! – Julia M. Broderick

I feel so deeply for all the people that have lost there lives (lost loved ones) and all the family’s suffering because of this uncontrollable tragedy in japan. i am honored to be apart of this single with such amazingly talented vocalists. singing has always been my passion and dream and to be able to sing to help people in suffering is the most rewarding thing in the world, we may be thousands of miles away but we can still make a difference, My love and thoughts go out to japan at this painful time – MissBeccyMay

’I was shocked and devastated by the Japan Tsunami and so was honoured to be asked to be a part of the ‘One In A Million’ single. It is such a blessing to be able to help people through music and I urge people to buy it!’ - Rachel Golding  www.rachelgolding.co.uk

‘When you see what has happened in Japan on the news, on your tv screen you feel so far away and so helpless. To be able to do something ,no matter how big or small is a great honour and I am so proud to be a part of this relief single’
